Why Choose the VI Peel?
VI Peel consistently provides patients with excellent skin rejuvenating results for all skin tones. The VI Peel will help lighten hyperpigmentation, improve sun damage, diminish the apperance of wrinkles, and acne scarring. Skin’s natural collagen and elastin production are boosted after the VI Peel. With regular “routine” skin care treatments, clients continue to see their skin’s tone and texture improve beyond the initial peel results.
The VI Peel Treatment
First we thoroughly cleanse the skin. The VI Peel solution is then applied to the face and neck, which will then remain on the skin for four hours. The actual in-office treatment process takes approximately 20 minutes followed by a brief review of post-care instructions. Detailed instructions for post-peel care are provided along with a moisturizer and sunscreen for home use. The VI Peel can also be applied as a rejuvenating treatment to the décolletage (chest) only. Peeling the décolletage is a very similar process; however the actual peeling may not start until day four or five.
Post VI Peel
Generally, your skin will begin to peel on the third day. The peeling starts around the mouth and nose, continuing to peel slowly outward each day. The actual peeling process is light, lasts approximately three to four days, and can be masked with frequent application of moisturizers. Approximately seven days after the peeling has finished, the results from your VI Peel will be visible. Skin will look luminous, smooth, and soft, though you will still need to moisturize often as your skin remains very “thirsty”. Hyperpigmentation will be lightened, tone and texture will be improved, and a more radiant appearance can be seen. A single VI Peel can significantly repair sun damaged, aging skin. However, in order to achieve optimal results, more than one VI Peel may be necessary. Many clients opt for seasonal VI Peel treatments to keep their skin youthful and radiant year round. See our Memberships for more information on peels and routine skin care treatments.
