How HALO Works
HALO is a high-end skin resurfacing laser that operates using two distinct wavelengths (ablative and non-ablative) to target your skin concerns on multiple levels.
HALO uses laser technology to eliminate years of damage by triggering your body’s natural healing response and reveal the luminous glow you had when you were younger!
As an integral part of many patients’ long-term skin maintenance plan, the powerful results of HALO can be used to improve skin texture and clarity; restore a youthful glow; and even help delay or eliminate the need for surgical procedures.
Benefits of HALO
Low Downtime. Patients can enjoy normal social activities within a few days, and there is no heavy or time-intensive post-care.
Less Pain. HALO technology is more comfortable than traditional fractional resurfacing.
Fast Healing. Patients experience 3 to 4 days of mild swelling and erythema.
Everyone’s skin is different. Everyone’s needs are different. HALO allows your provider to customize a treatment to fit your lifestyle.
Need to be back at work tomorrow? A light treatment creates smooth, vibrant skin that’s ready for makeup the next day. Want to WOW them? A deeper treatment will give your skin that youthful glow with just a few extra days of downtime.
HALO Laser Technology
HALO laser technology offers a completely customizable treatment to precisely target skin damage and visible signs of aging.
During an initial consultation for a HALO laser treatment, your provider will personalize your treatment plan to meet your lifestyle needs and skin concerns.
The HALO Experience
Before the treatment, your laser specialist will place a topical an aesthetic ointment on the skin for improved comfort to numb the area being treated.
You should feel minimal to no discomfort as the HALO handpiece gently rolls across your skin. Simultaneously, cool air will blow for additional comfort. After the treatment, most patients will continue to feel warm for an additional 30 to 60 minutes, or a bit longer with deeper treatment levels.
How many treatments do you need?
What’s great about HALO is that you can choose how many treatments you want! Discuss your needs with your clinician and you can choose to have one or two more aggressive treatments or have multiple treatments that are less aggressive and achieve a similar goal over a longer period of time.
What happens during a HALO treatment?
Thirty minutes to an hour before the treatment your clinician may place a topical an aesthetic on your skin to reduce the sensation during the procedure. The area will be measured with motion tracking technology to ensure the area is treated evenly. Your clinician will treat each measured area by uniformly rolling the HALO handpiece over your skin until the system recognizes the treatment is complete.
What does HALO feel like?
With a topical an aesthetic and integrated cooling technology, patients typically experience very little discomfort. Most patients describe the treatment as a feeling of heat with occasional prickling sensations, but are generally comfortable. After the treatment, most patients will continue to feel warm for an additional 30 to 60 minutes, or a bit longer with deeper treatment levels
How soon after my HALO treatment can I return to normal activities?
For the first 24 hours, you should keep your skin protected according to your post-op instructions. After the first 24 hours, the treated skin will begin to slough off as new healthy skin comes to the surface. You may experience social downtime for a few days but can resume normal daily activities as desired.
When will I see results from my HALO treatment?
You will see initial results between two and five days after your HALO treatment, but your skin will continue to improve over time. Most patients see the greatest pigmentary improvement in the first two to three weeks. This is followed by a dermal regeneration phase that continues to improve for months.
How long will my results last?
HALO results will last for years to come, but you should continue to keep your skin protected at all times using UV sunscreen to protect your new, healthy skin. Each additional HALO treatment you get will only improve the results, giving you even better-looking skin.
How much does a HALO treatment cost?
Each HALO treatment is customized for your skin, and your lifestyle. Depending on your needs, our laser specialist may recommend a single treatment, or a series of treatments. In order to find out which is the best option for you will need a consultation.
