MOXI® Treatments
A Gentle Approach To Radiant Skin
Lighten, brighten, and refresh
Often, patients want to achieve subtle skin rejuvenation as a part of their overall skincare regimen. Sciton is proud to introduce MOXI, a “pre-rejuvenation” treatment designed to do just that.
A MOXI treatment at a skin care provider near you can keep your skin refreshed, revitalized, and maintained after just one treatment.
If you are just starting your skin care journey, looking for a light touch up, or simply want something more without downtime, MOXI is an ideal choice.
Win the battle against visible signs of aging.
Through its use of a non-ablative, fractionated wavelength, MOXI delivers dramatic tonal and textural improvements to your face with little to no downtime, as it features a gentle non-ablative laser that corrects pigmentation issues.

Consultation for a MOXI Treatment
Everyone’s skin is different. Everyone’s needs are different. MOXI can be performed on its own or in conjunction with other treatments to improve the overall quality of your skin!
During an initial consultation for a MOXI treatment, your laser specialist will personalize your treatment plan, including the number of sessions, configuration, and complementary treatments, to meet your lifestyle needs and properly address your skin concerns.
The MOXI Experience
Once a topical numbing cream sets, your provider will configure MOXI to the settings best suited to achieve your ideal results. As he or she glides the MOXI laser across the skin, you may feel a slight warming sensation, which means the laser is doing its job!
The treatment itself creates micro-coagulation zones in the skin; the body naturally repairs these zones and replaces damaged cells with new ones.
MOXI revitalizes skin without breaking the surface.
Therefore, your post-care regimen is simple:
- Apply a moisturizing physical sunscreen and stay out of the sun up to 8 hours after treatment.
- You may wear makeup 24 hours after your treatment.
- A gentle cleanser and moisturizer will be recommended to protect and comfort the treated area and should be used until skin has naturally exfoliated.
How many MOXI treatments will I need?
This will depend on your treatment goals and the level of correction desired. Most patients receive 3 to 4 corrective MOXI treatments, then often elect for regular maintenance treatments. Talk to your practitioner about your goals and they can advise you on the best treatment regimen.
How long does it take to see results after a MOXI treatment?
Results will vary depending on your treatment goals and the plan you set forth with your laser specialist. For the day following your treatment, your skin may appear red and, depending on your level of treatment, you may see the small micro dots called “mendz” where the laser was applied. As the micro zones heal, they will darken and feel rough. Between days 3 and 5, the mendz will slough off, revealing the renewed skin beneath.
Is the MOXI laser painful?
Differing levels of treatment may affect the sensations you feel during treatment, but most patients find the MOXI treatment experience very tolerable. The numbing cream prior to the procedure minimizes discomfort, and your provider may also use a cooling air to keep you comfortable during. Simply put, this is one of the most gentle, low-pain laser treatments on the market.
Does MOXI work on darker skin tones?
Absolutely! Since the MOXI laser isn’t as strong or invasive as its counterparts, it lessens the risk of hyper or hypopigmentation after treatment. Of course, if you ever have specific questions or concerns based on your skin tone, your laser specialist will have all the training and experience to answer your additional questions.
