Tummy Tuck for Men
Abdominoplasty
Procedure & Results
A tummy tuck requires a horizontal incision in the area between the pubic hairline and navel. The shape and length of the incision will be determined by the degree of correction necessary. The doctor repairs and sutures weakened abdominal muscles through the skin and removes excess fat, tissue and skin. A second incision around the navel may be necessary to remove excess skin in the upper abdomen.
An abdominoplasty takes approximately one to three hours depending on whether it is a mini, standard or extended abdominoplasty. Tummy tuck surgery is done on an outpatient basis with general anesthesia. Because safety is always our first concern, Dr. Kelly Sullivan always works with board-certified Maryland anesthesiologists at an accredited surgical center to ensure that your surgery is as safe as possible. Following your tummy tuck surgery, you will be able to rest in the comfort of your own home. You should expect the following results from your tummy tuck surgery performed by Dr. Kelly Sullivan:
