Zap Those Zits

Whether or not you have acne-prone skin, everyone suffers from a pimple every now and then. Waking up to discover a fresh zit in the middle of your forehead is guaranteed to ruin your day. It might actually be worse than a bad hair day. And unfortunately, those with dry and normal skin types are not immune to the occasional eruption. In fact, it might actually be more shocking to wake up with a pimple when you’re not focusing on preventative care and regularly using acne products.

So you are probably wondering “what do I do when a whitehead pushes its way to the surface?” Well, that’s where spot treatments come in.

Most acne spot treatments contain a more concentrated amount of active ingredients than a product that is meant for use on the entire face. This means they’re able to deliver a more potent punch to either an existing zit, or one that’s bubbling under the surface. We actually suggest using a spot treatment as soon as you feel a pimple forming.

Our favorite Spot treatment is Blemish & AGE from Skinceuticals, a targeted, oil-free approach to treat adult acne and signs of883140500971-blemish-age-defense aging. This first-to-market acid blend combines 2% dioic acid with an optimal alpha- and beta-hydroxy acid formulation designed to prevent the formation of acne, minimize blemishes, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

  • ° Reduces excess sebum production.
  • ° Reduces acne-causing P. acnes bacteria.
  • ° Reduces blotchiness, blemishes, and evens skin tone.
  • ° Decongests clogged pores.
  • ° Diminishes surface indicators of age.
